I had to write this down, as it turned out so incredibly amazing!!
I had some pepercorn seasoned steak left over from the other day I needed to use; already putting the first set of steak leftovers in the most yummiest green salad!
... now for breakfast! ...
I put to cook some fresh hashbrowns by peeling 1 potato and cutting into quite small cubes. I put them on foil in the toaster oven with some heathy vegetable oil, turmeric powder and garlic salt with some fresh ground sea salt with a bit of pepper. I set that to bake @ 400degrees. Back to the steak!...
I then sauteed a few pieces of white onion with olive oil and added some fresh chopped ginger (Gingers is awesome for the cardiovascular system!) 2 healthy eggs (do everything you can to make sure you buy ones that are either from your local farmer, organic, grain fed - no steroids!) broke em open, slowly let them cook a bit before cutting into the yolk; then gently scrambled. Once almost fully cooked, I added the steak pieces, green onions, chilli flakes and potatoes that were fully roasted.
Served with a touch of salsa, a dollop of sour creme, a little more green onion and 3 jalapenos
 HELLO YUMMINESS!!

Get your natural vitamins in you. Get it inside your food. Limit the toxic preservatives you consume. Cook it yourself and add extra nutrients!
I'll let you know how they taste as i added some extras. Cinnamon, shelled hemp hearts, frozen blueberries and organic soy milk. I'm expecting it to be quite heavy as I made with olive oil.
Served with "real" maple syrup of course. That stuff is packed with nutrients!
Here is the recipe I started with and then added a little more personality. http://www.makehealthymeals.com/recipes/whole-wheat-pancakes/ Just click on the photo above and it will take you to the recipe.
.... taste factor .... = YUMMY!! Now to cook the other one and head out for an evening massage appointment.
Cooking can be a fun adventure! Enjoy. **great to get the kids involved too. I can't tell you how many great memories were made cooking with my Nana!! Such a useful tool in life. mmmm

The day after hallow's eve; a new year; now called Halloween; now plagued with sugary treats, ghouls and goblins. The season of root vegetables, warm soup and comfort foods. Making way for the long dark, cold winter nights. Trick or Treating and Haunted House Searching is a fun social event to partake in; altho it most often ends up in an overload of sweets; let them have their fun, dress up and get out there with them and make sure you enjoy the fun family activity of carving jack o landers to keep away the dark spirits on October 31; when it is said that it's the time of year the spirit's world and our world's wall is at it's thinest. (insert scary voice here)
Let Old Jack teach a little more to the family. learn about the garden and the way things grow. Make the day after Halloween a fun tradition of cooking Old Jack. Make some soup, bake a pie, make some healthy muffins and hope you already roasted his seeds when you carved him. Learn about his nutrients, draw pictures, pumpking, fall leaves arts and crafts. That's good family time. Shut the TV and computer off and spend some quality time. Teach about the nutrition of mother natures goodness and how whole foods, seed and plant produce nourish us on a cellular level as apposed to the toxic sweet overload of Octobers treats.
Start with good o'l Jack and his powerful antioxidant power!
Beta carotene---Anything bright in colour is typically good for us. Research shows that people who eat a diet rich in beta-carotene are less likely to develop certain cancers than those who fail to include beta-carotene-rich foods in their diet.
Loaded with Potassium---Studies show people who have a potassium rich diet lower the risk for hypertension.
Zinc---Not only is zinc a major boost for your immune system, it also aids in bone density support for people at risk for osteoporosis.
High in Fiber---Diets rich in fiber may prevent cancer, heart disease and other serious ailments.
Health Benefits
Prostate Cancer The protective compounds present within pumpkin seeds; phytosterols, may be responsible for shrinking the prostate. They also contain chemicals that may prevent some transformation of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). High levels of DHT are associated with enlarged prostate.
Anti-Inflammatory Benefits in Arthritis Unlike the widely used anti-inflammatory drug indomethacin, pumpkin seeds do not increase damaged fat levels in the lingus joints, a common side effect associated with indomethacin which contributes to the progression of arthritis.
Great on your skin Pumpkins contains lots of anti-oxidant vitamins A and C, as well as zinc and alpha-hydroxy-acids which helps to reduce the signs of aging.
Happy Movember!

The kids are back in school and the germs are flying and crawling around. We all know this is a serious time of year for the start on influenza's. Boost your immune system to increase your forcefield to avoid getting sick! Include plenty of rest, exercise and good nutrition; which should include lots of VITAMIN C ("vitC increases the production of infection-fighting white blood cells and antibodies and increases levels of interferon, the antibody that coats cell surfaces") and always consume GARLIC which "stimulates the multiplication of infection-fighting white cells, boosts natural killer cell activity, and increases the efficiency of antibody production"
BE WELL ~ Namaste
